Set in 2001 San Francisco, Miss Chinatown follows a closeted lesbian couple competing in an Asian-American beauty pageant. The two beauty queens must figure out what they stand for and determine how vulnerable they are willing to be in front of the judging eyes of their traditional Asian community.
